Central Marin Sanitation Agency

Quality service begins with quality people. CMSA staff are wastewater professionals who focus all their energy and expertise on providing excellent wastewater treatment and discharge.

We are constantly working to improve our facilities. On average we spend about $1 million dollars per year on changes which improve reliability, increase safety, anticipate change, encourage efficiency, control costs, and minimize environmental impacts.

All CMSA treatment plant operators are state certified by the Regional Water Quality Board. A culture of continuous improvement ensures that the treatment plant runs smoothly. The typical customer never thinks about the wastewater treatment plant. That is possible because the plant runs nearly flawlessly, around-the-clock, every day, year-in and year-out. Our professional staff ensures near-perfect performance by monitoring the plant at all times and carrying out an extensive and proactive maintenance and improvement program. Accordingly, CMSA has garnered many state and regional awards in several categories.
