for driving directions to the plant at
1301 Andersen Drive, San Rafael, CA 94901
from any address
Get directions:
To CMSA from Santa Rosa
Travel South on 101 to central San Rafael and take the Andersen Drive exit
(right after the I-580 East exit). At the end of the exit ramp there is a stop light.
Turn left. Continue 1 mile to CMSA, and turn left into the plant entrance at the end of
the straight section of Andersen (where the road bends to the right to go up San Quentin
Ridge and intersects Sir Francis Drake).
To CMSA from Sacramento
Take I-80 WEST. In north Richmond, take the Richmond Parkway to the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge.
This parkway has several lanes and is fast, but still has traffic lights. When it gets close to I-580
it blends into Garrard Street (at the Chevron refinery). Look for I-580 WEST. Get on the
freeway and cross the State's Richmond-San Rafael toll bridge.
If for some reason you miss the Richmond Parkway, continue on I-80 to Cutting
Boulevard (sign reads San Rafael), go West on Cutting until you reach I-580 West.
Then continue to cross the Richmond-San Rafael bridge.
The first exit after the bridge is San Quentin. Soon after the San Quentin
exit take the off ramp that turns and passes over I-580 and that forms the
beginning of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. After crossing over I-580 on Sir
Francis Drake Boulevard take the first turn on the right-hand side, which
is Andersen Drive. Wind down Andersen to the bottom of the hill. There is a
driveway at the bottom of the hill; turn right into the lane and then into
the parking area.
To CMSA from Berkeley/Oakland
Take I-80/I-580 West. Take the I-580 split from I-80.
Continue through the Richmond-San Rafael bridge. Take Sir
Francis Drake exit and then take the first right-hand turn
from Sir Francis Drake onto Andersen Drive. Come down Andersen
to the bottom of the hill. There is a driveway at the bottom of the hill,
turn right into the lane and then into the parking area.
To CMSA from San Francisco
Take 101 North through Marin County (past Sausalito, past Mill Valley, past Tiburon
and past the Corte Madera exits) until you see the sign for the Richmond Bridge.
Take that exit. Turn right onto Sir Francis Drake from the exit ramp.
Continue on Sir Francis Drake past Larkspur Landing (which has two traffic
lights) and past the State prison on the right.
After passing the State prison continue up the hill on Sir Francis
Drake and get into the left-hand turn lane at the top of the hill
for Andersen Drive. Make the left-hand turn and come down the hill on
Andersen, then turn right into the CMSA driveway at the bottom of the hill.
