CMSA is a regional, cooperative venture that was created
to provide improved wastewater treatment, cost-effectively.
By working together through CMSA, the members lower costs for their customers.
In addition to treatment, CMSA also provides other regional services that
further improve quality and lower costs. These services include the following.
|
- Pump Station Maintenance for Sanitary District No. 2 (Corte Madera).
Operation of the pump station is monitored 24 hours a day by a
computerized Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA).
- Vactor Disposal. CMSA member agencies clean their sanitary lines
using specially designed trucks that are capable of cleaning the lines
with high-pressure water and then vacuuming the collected debris into
a storage tank on the truck. The vacuumed debris is then hauled to CSMA's
treatment plant and off-loaded into a specially designed receiving station.
The liquid is discharged into the plant influent flow.
The remaining rocks and grit are loaded into trash bin and hauled off to a landfill site.
