California Association of Sanitary Agencies http://www.casaweb.org Membership consists of local district and municipal managers in the State of California. California
Department of Health Services/ Among other things, this department directly regulates the accreditation of commercial and governmental environmental testing labs. California Sanitation Risk Management Authority http://www.csrma.org An association of wastewater agencies joined to protect members resources by providing broad coverage and quality risk management services that stabilize risk cost in a reliable, economical and beneficial manner California Sate Environmental Protection Agency http://www.calepa.ca.gov State umbrella environmental agency that regulates water resources, hazardous waste, air resources, fish and game, and solid waste disposal (but not the use of pesticides). California Water Environment Association http://www.cwea.org Membership includes private and public sector professionals who work in wastewater treatment related areas; Supports a monthly publication and annual conferences with presentations on a wide variety of wastewater-related topics. Provides training for members. Also holds regional safety conferences. State Water Resources Control Board http://www.swrcb.ca.gov Interprets the laws developed by the State Legislature for water resources and develops statewide regulations regarding all water resources, including wastewater collection, treatment, and discharge to the environment. |
