Employment Vendors & Contractors Permits

In order to ensure public health and protect the environment, CMSA requires that certain customers apply for permits. One purpose is to prevent industrial and hazardous waste from being discharged into the treatment plant.

The CMSA service area is Fairfax, Ross, San Anselmo, Greenbrae, Kentfield, Larkspur, Corte Madera, and areas of San Rafael south of the Santa Venetia ridge (Terra Linda and Civic Center are not in our service area).

Septic tank, portable toilet, and grease trap wastes from certain parts of Marin County may be discharged at CMSA.

CMSA accepts discharge of contaminated groundwater, provided that it is generated in the CMSA service area and it meets discharge limits. Permit required  Permit application
