Central Marin Sanitation Agency

The NACWA Award for Peak Performance has been awarded every year since 2005.

Over the years, CMSA has earned recognition in numerous national, state and regional categories, and has received awards for all aspects of its operations -- shown below in the following five categories:

Wastewater Treatment and Regulatory Compliance

Employee and Workgroup Achievements

Financial Budget & Reporting

Public Education

Many of these acknowledgements were the result of comprehensive assessments of the Agency's core business processes by independent organizations. The Agency uses the results of these assessments to continually improve its operations and provide training opportunities for its staff.

CMSA staff are professionals who have dedicated their careers to environmental stewardship. Generally, residents give little thought to how wastewater is collected, treated and beneficially reused once it leaves their homes or businesses. We like our customers and ratepayers to know that your community’s wastewater treatment plant is held in high regard as one of the most efficient, environmentally responsible, and forward-thinking in the state. This around-the-clock operation has performed at a high level of regulatory compliance since 2005.
