Mechanical Technician I/II

Salary: $7,497.06 - $8,678.78 /mo.

Central Marin Sanitation Agency (CMSA) is now accepting applications for a Mechanical Technician I/II position, DOE. CMSA is a regional wastewater treatment facility dedicated to the health of our community and the environment, and our expert staff focuses on providing high quality wastewater-related services for the residents and businesses of central Marin County.

The Position:

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mechanical Technician inspects, repairs, and performs maintenance on a variety of mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical equipment and fixtures such as pumps, piping, valves, and operators that are found in wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and related facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), one-year related experience, a California Class C driver's license, and possession of (or obtained within one year of hire) a Mechanical Technician I certificate issued by the California Water Environmental Association (CWEA). Experience with industrial and/or wastewater equipment, large engines, and knowledge of machine tools is desirable. CMSA will consider job experience, education, and trade certifications in selecting candidates for interviews.

 Administrative Specialist Intern Position

Salary: $ 20/hour

Timeframe: March 2 – April 10, 2020

The Central Marin Sanitation Agency is recruiting for a six-week Administrative Specialist Intern position. CMSA is a regional wastewater agency dedicated to the health of our community and the environment, and our expert staff focuses on providing high quality environmental services for the residents and businesses of central Marin County.

Under general direction from the Administrative Services Manager (ASM), the intern will provide varied secretarial and office administrative support the Administration and Finance staff. Duties include front desk phone and greeting visitors; sorting mail; filing; accepting deliveries and small shipments; communicating activities among on- and off-site staff via telephone and two-way radio; preparing correspondence and other written materials; ordering office supplies; assisting the Safety Officer, and other varied task as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with basic business writing; ability to interact with others in a professional manner; to seek assistance or clarification as needed; to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Familiarity with MS Office 365 (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment; typing at a minimum of 50 WPM.
  • Applicant will be required to show documentation as proof of authorization to work in the United States.
