The Administration Department performs administrative, financial, risk management, human resources, and information technology activities, and is responsible for the following functions:

  • Provide administrative support to the Board of Commissioners.

  • Represent the Agency on legal, legislative, and regulatory matters.

  • Maintain intergovernmental relations with the JPA member agencies, local agencies in Marin County, and government agencies in the region.

  • Communicate Agency initiatives to stakeholders and the public.

  • Develop, implement, and manage the Agency’s budget, revenue plans, and financial forecast.

  • Manage the Agency’s finances and investments.

  • Provide human resource services to departments and employees.

  • Ensure the safety of agency employees and assets through risk management programs provided by the California Sanitation Risk Management Authority.

  • Administer the Health & Safety Program.

  • Maintains the Agency’s communication, process control, and information technology systems.
